Quarantine Must-Haves | My Quarantine Favorites

Year 2020 = Quarantine = Our New Normal. Things have been so crazy, so restricted, so different. But, at the moment, this is our new normal. To make it more comfortable, I make sure to enjoy some of my favorite things. A few of these have been favorites from before the pandemic and some have become favorites during this time at home. Here are 13 of my quarantine must-haves that I recommend to everyone.

Amazon Prime & Amazon Fresh

A lot of us probably already have Amazon Prime and don’t know what we’d do without it! But another life saver for me is Amazon Fresh. I don’t use it for fresh produce or many things other than boxed or cartoned items and pantry staples really, but this limits the time I spend at the grocery store and allows me to have it delivered to my home. It’s very convenient.

TAO Clean Orbital Facial Brush & Cleaning System

This facial brush is, by far, the best one I’ve had! I’m obsessed! There are so many reasons why I’d pick this cleansing brush over the rest. Some key points:

  • This brush comes with different power levels to serve your skin
  • You get a daily brush head and an exfoliating brush head along with the system
  • The orbital spinning motion and soft bristles are great for all skin types and a must-have for acne prone skin
  • This cleaning system kills 99.9% of germs! Once you’re done with the facial brush and you place it on its stand, the device will dry your brush killing 99.9% of germs. Other brushes I’ve had are left damp after use – that will end up harboring bacteria. Not the Tao Clean Facial Brush though 🙂
  • Comes in cool colors. I have “Robin’s Egg” 🙂

If you’re interested in getting your own Tao Clean Cleaning System you can use my promo code to get 62% off. Just enter RASHI at check out. You’re gonna love this thing 😉 http://www.taoclean.com

Binge-Worthy TV Shows

During these times, it’s a no-brainer, ya gotta have some great, binge-worthy TV shows. We’ve been quarantined since March, so I have many lol. Here are 10 that Tyee and I have loved and definitely recommend:

  • Bosch (on Amazon Prime – Crime Fiction where something or another happens in every episode)
  • Ozark (on Netflix – Crime Drama that keeps you on the edge of your seat)
  • Blacklist (on Netflix – Crime Thriller that I can’t believe I never watched when it first came out. Still watching this. So far season 1 was my favorite)
  • Tiger King (on Netflix – True Crime Documentary that will crack you up at times. That might sound weird, but you’ll get it once you watch it .. Joe Exotic for President!)
  • In The Dark (on Netflix – Comedy Drama/Murder Mystery that is way better than the synopsis and trailer they have on Netflix. Interesting, well-made, entertaining and an intriguing story)
  • Top Shot – (on Amazon Prime *I think* – a competition for a cash prize through various shooting challenges of all kinds with all sorts of weapons)
  • Love Island (Australia/UK)- (on Hulu – basic trash tv .. pretty people trying to get with each other, nonsense drama, swimsuits galore, hair extensions, muscles and tanning lotion.. sometimes I don’t even know why we watched it. But, it’s great for mindless television)
  • Sacred Games (on Netflix – Indian Crime Conspiracy Thriller if you’re looking for something dark and something foreign)
  • Kingdom (on Netflix – Korean Horror Thriller that’s well-made if you’re looking for zombies and/or Korean zombies)
  • Game of Thrones – (on HBO – of course this one is a recommendation! We’ve already watched this before the quarantine started but for anyone who hasn’t, they definitely need to!)

Ethyl Ambrosia Alcoholic Gel Desserts

You can still have fun while stuck at home. Throw you and whoever you’re quarantined with a little get-together! The weekends and holidays can still be fun with Ethyl Ambrosia Alcoholic Gel Desserts. We (Tyee and myself) celebrated July 4th with these. It’s fun trying the flavors and the aesthetic of these gel desserts are too cute. Everyone I’ve shown these to have loved them and think they’re great for so many occasions. A box of these “mini wine glass” gel desserts comes with 6 different flavors and an easy twist & push motion for each to enjoy what’s inside. Ethyl Ambrosia is a swanky company that’s against using animal by-products. Each dessert is 15% alcohol. If you want to try these for your next celebration (or just because..) you can use my promo code: RASHI10 to get 10% off of your purchase! These are definitely fun 🙂 Please drink responsibly ❤ http://www.ethylambrosia.com

Fun & Effective Masks

Who would have thought that face masks to protect from viruses would become fashionable one day… We’re all wearing them right? Why not get some cute ones 😀 I have boxes of the disposable kind and wear those most often, but i love to throw on a cute one or one that’s better to look at sometimes 🙂

Hobbies

I’m sure you all have hobbies.. If not, now’s the time to start finding some! A hobby I’ve had and enjoyed before this quarantine is Archery. I remember saying last year that I wish I had more time in a day so that I can shoot arrows more. Welp! That wish certainly came true lol. Two new hobbies I’ve taken up are Knife Throwing and Scrapbooking! I enjoy both a whole lot! Tyee has built a standing wooden board for us to practice Knife Throwing outside or in the garage. It’s great! We turn on some music, we both practice, and he gives me tips. Scrapbooking is also really fun! I love being able to capture some of my favorite memories in a creative way. When we have children, I plan to show them my scrapbooks one day 🙂

Headspace/Meditation

Meditation is something I’ve always recommended and have touched on in other blog posts. I use the app Headspace. I’ve used Headspace for a number of years now and it’s definitely my favorite. It’s great for guided meditation but the app also offers so much more. I know a lot of people right now are dealing with anxiety and are in situations where they need help to calm their mind. Meditation is proven to help. Check out Headspace some time. I know many who swear by this app.

Some Good At Home Workouts

I’ve made myself a schedule for every day of the week. It includes which days in the week I workout and what my workout will be for that day. I like sticking to this schedule. You can find some great at home workouts on Youtube, through workout DVDs, workout apps like Open Fit and Sweat and online classes. When we started this quarantine I was doing the apps and online classes. Now I go between workout DVDs and my favorite Youtube workout videos, and of course my walks/jogs. I find that these all work great.

A Smaller Purse

I don’t usually carry around a big ol’ bag in the first place – more like small to medium. Either way, downsizing is the way to go. At least for me, I’m not out as much. I only go out the time of the week when I have to get whatever we need for the house. I’m really not carrying as much. It’s so nice to just carry my essentials in a small purse.

Stick-On Nail Polish

I don’t know about you but I’m not getting my gel manicure every two weeks like I used to (my pedi…that’s a different story. I love those massages!) I know many salons are back open now, but during quarantine I started using the stick-on nail polish that you just file out and it seriously lasts forever! Looks just like a salon manicure and you can get some super cute colors/designs. Best part: costed me like 4 bucks B)

Recipes You Never Get Sick Of

I enjoy cooking. During this quarantine I’ve enjoyed trying a bunch of new recipes, baking a lot more and finding new healthy favorites. Current favorites I love to whip up that I don’t get sick of are my simple but yummy salmon dinner which includes baked salmon, veggies and quinoa. Another is homemade acai bowls with delicious toppings for breakfast. 3rd favorite is a variety of new pasta dishes garnished with goat cheese. *drool* I’ll have my recipes for these favs up soon! Oh yes, and a constant favorite is sweet potatoes fries! Homemade baked sweet potato fries have been my favorite for a while. YUM.

A Soft, Comfy Robe

Let’s face it, you’re spending a lot of time lounging at home. We’re all doing it. Why not be comfy and wrapped up in a soft cloud 🙂 I have a nice little robe collection, but my favorite is definitely my plush robe (from Victoria’s Secret). So soft, so comfy. I lounge in that thing quite often. Go get yourself a great robe to hang out in.

A Clean, Decorated, Organized Home/Space

I’ve said this before in other posts and I’ll say it again – in a clean, clutter-free, organized space energy flows more freely. If you’re going to be hanging out in the same area all day, everyday ya might as well keep it clean and nice to live it. I enjoy organizing things and looove decorating! I love when my home looks, feels and smells beautiful! It’s so much nicer to relax in. Take the time make your living space feel the best. I’m telling you, it makes a big difference!

Hopefully, you enjoyed this post and found ways to make your quarantined life more comfortable and enjoyable. Stay safe and stay healthy! ❤
